SNOW CLOSURE - 25th JANUARY 2021

SNOW UPDATE

SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL BUT ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL NHS AND EMERGENCY WORKERS TOMORROW.

IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE NORMALLY IN SCHOOL AS YOU ARE A KEY WORKER, BUT YOU DO NOT WORK FOR THE NHS, FRONTLINE SOCIAL CARE (IN A CARE HOME FOR EXAMPLE) OR IN THE EMERGENCY SERVICES YOUR CHILDREN MUST STAY AT HOME

Mr Lewis is currently on site with a small local team clearing pathways to make the site as safe as possible, but many staff, who live further away, will not be able to drive and park safely on the school site tomorrow.

Under normal circumstances tomorrow would be a full closure snow day. (This is what many schools have already announced to their parents)

In order to support the NHS we will do our very best to open with a skeleton staff. Children will most likely need to work in one large socially distanced group, rather than in their own classroom bubbles.

IF YOU ARE AN ESSENTIAL worker (as stated above) you must let us know that you need to send your child / children to school tomorrow. Please send an e mail to covid19@welearn365.onmicrosoft.com (do not reply to this e mail)

Informing us that you require a place for tomorrow is not a guarantee that your child can come to school.

Places will be strictly limited to only those working directly on the front line.

You must wait for confirmation from a member of school staff.

We will not be able to reply to every e mail. We will only reply to confirm places.

We will not be able to respond to individual questions. Please remember that we have 130 key worker children on our list)

Should the weather worsen overnight and the site become unsafe again we may need to fully close. We would inform you of this in the morning.

Thanks for your support.
