Home Learning Autumn-Winter 2020

Welcome to our Home Learning Zone

This area will be populated with all the work set by teachers for children in the current Autumn-Winter Covid19 outbreak and lockdown.

This section was updated on Tuesday 1st December 2020 for 'bubbles' that need to isolate and learn at home and it will be updated regularly as the need arises. The folders for each year group contain the related work and tasks.

Parents/ Carers Please take some time to look through Warwickshire guidance on using what is known as 'Blended Learning'.  School will be mainly using Microsoft Teams, Purple Mash and a selection of lessons from The National Oak Academy.

This will help parents and children be ready for learning at home if their class needs to isolate.

WeLearn/Teams/Purple Mash Support

Parent support materials for Maths are available in the Curriculum section of our website. These materials will help you to support your child with all aspects of maths at home.

Competition Time

Flannery are promoting training and innovation and are opening a new Training Centre at their depot near Dunton Island, Curdworth.

They would like to invite local children from our school to take part in drawing/painting some pictures of the machinery they use at their depot and on various sites so they can display them in their new Training Centre.

Attached are a few images to help inspire the children.   There are more on their website.  Click on the Flannery name at the top for the weblink.

Please encourage children to draw and paint some images of the machinery.  Big and bold is always best.  If you need materials like paper from school, please ask your teacher.  Reception will be learning about Moving Vehicles after Christmas, so this would be a good activity to get them interested.

Entries can be done in school or at home and should be handed to Mr Lewis by Friday 27th November.

Once the COVID 19 risk reduces, Flannery would like to invite pupils to visit their Depot and see the machines for themselves and use their 'motion simulator'.

Get your picture published here. There's still time to enter!
