Evergreen Resource Provision

What is Evergreen?

Evergreen is one of Warwickshire's 'Specialist Resource Provision’ Centres.

Evergreen is managed by Water Orton Primary School and operates alongside the mainstream school. Evergreen meets the needs of learners (usually from Warwickshire) who have Autistic Spectrum (AS) needs and complex communication and interaction difficulties (C & I)

The children who attend Evergreen have, or may have difficulty integrating fully into a mainstream school, but still benefit from having access to mainstream and the opportunity to integrate in a carefully managed environment.

Evergreen offers a comparatively high adult to pupil ratio for a maximum of 8 pupils and it provides a happy, caring, nurturing and safe environment where every individual is valued and where children are motivated.

Evergreen offers a personalised curriculum that can respond creatively and flexibly to the individual strengths and difficulties of each learner, keeping their needs and views at its core. It offers an autism-friendly and sensory-friendly space with a range of technology and outdoor learning, that promotes learning and life-long well being for all of it's pupils.

Evergreen values individual difference and fosters positive social attitudes of mutual respect and sensitivity to the needs of others. Students will learn to become independent, productive and responsible members of Evergreen and of the wider school community, however, it supports individual learners to feel emotionally secure enough to form relationships and friendships and to develop positive self-esteem so that the children can be ready to learn and play with others.  We aim for our students to reach their full emotional, intellectual and physical potential in school and to be well placed to do so in KS3 and later life.

Evergreen moved to a brand new building on a  new site in September 2019.   This 'state of the art' facility is set in its own green space with the proximity to allow integration with the mainstream setting.

For further details on the admissions process please see the Warwickshire website or contact the school on 0121 7472851.
